Windows 365 end user experience

Normal computer, laptop, tablet, phone, foldable phone, etc. But what about Virtual PC , a PC that you can use on whatever device you want? All you need to do is to login at windows365.microsoft.com with your own account.

First thing you’ll need to do is to choose the best “package” for your enviroment. There are 1vCPU - 8vCPU, 2GB RAM - 32GB RAM and 64GB - 512GB storage to choose from. And of course the price is bigger when the package is bigger. There are plenty of packages to choose from. From business to enterprise. Small business or large business.

And here you can see one printscreen of the difference between the prices when you choose from 2vcpu to 8vcpu, etc…

And when you are done choosing your “package” of the Windows 365 Cloud PC, making sure your azure platform is up to date with Windows 365 needs and your tenant is ready, then we can move on onto the login part (the end user experience.)

First things first… Sign in at: windows365.microsoft.com

Does your account have an MFA?

After succesful login, this is the page where you can find your Cloud PCs and you can open your pc in a browser.

You can even use your local resources (paikallisia resursseja.)

Finally we are here. Windows 10 in a browser. First it seems a little weird to use a pc in a browser, but later on you’ll get into it. Just don’t click the x button on the top left. But if you do, then the Cloud PC:s good benefits come to a place. If you do press the x and not the normal shutdown procedure, the cloud pc will stay on. And when you come back, you can continue right where you left. And even better, if you come back with a different device, for example a tablet or a phone, you can still continue the use. The only thing you need is your account. and internet, of course.

Using the pc itself is not that hard (if you have used Windows before.) But there are a couple of things that you should know. You can’t put a DVD drive or a Floppy disc drive in there. They are virtual. And the webcam is not working, but the audio is, if you choose so.

If I could only give you one tip on using Windows 365 cloud pc, it would be: Put it on full screen as I show on this picture. It is much easier to use. But, of course, there are many ways to use cloud pc, you’ll just have to find the one that suits you best.

Give it a go, try it for yourself, business or enterprise package. Make it your cloud pc. It’s not that hard, trust me ;)

I have to say, my end user experience was very good, even when I had the “slowest package” Have you already experienced your cloud pc?
